Meet Our Richardson Dentist

Derek Chan, DDS

Dr. Chan comes to our practice all the way from Oakville, Ontario, Canada. A dental professional since 2008, Dr. Chan graduated from McMaster University before receiving his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University. As a dentist, what Dr. Chan loves most about his job is helping patients learn about their smiles and resolving their dental concerns. He takes extra time to make sure his patients completely understand what their smile needs so they can feel more relaxed during their visits.

Whenever he can, Dr. Chan attends continuing education courses to help grow and refine his skillset, and he also remains active in the national dental community as a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.

At home, he likes to stay busy with his wife and two young boys, and in his free time, he enjoys cycling and practicing Taekwondo (in which he has a red/black belt).
